Let’s Talk Self-Care

Self-care is more than exercise and meditating.

Along with massages, journaling, going for a walk, these require intentionally carving out time and committing.

We love this stuff. We need these. They have incredible health benefits, and are a way to reflect, relax, and recharge. 🙌🏽

But what about when you’re just having one of those days or moments? 👋🏽 You can feel your body tense up. You feel the frustration, stress, or overwhelm.

There’s a simpler self-care approach that can help in those unexpected moments. And it doesn’t require anything but your ability to stop and ask yourself this question during those times:

🤔What do I *need* in this moment?

It could be something you need to SAY to yourself (“I’m doing my best here. Let that go.”)

Or it could be something you need to physically DO (intentional breathing or a nap).

Understanding and giving yourself what you need --- whether it's what you need to do or say to yourself --- in the everyday moments is self-care.
